SparkCode ("we", "our", or "us") publishes the SparkCode mobile application (the "App"; shown as "Spark" on some devices). The App is a remote client for an opencode server that you run on a machine you control. This page explains what data the App handles, where it goes, and what never leaves your hands.
We collect nothing. The App contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no accounts operated by us. Your conversations, code, files, and commands travel directly between your device and the server address you configure. We never see them.
Everything you do in the App — chat messages, attached files and images, voice-dictated text, file browsing and edits, terminal commands — is sent directly to the server you configured and nowhere else. That server belongs to you (or whoever you obtained its address from), and the data on it is governed by however that machine is operated. We have no access to it.
Voice dictation and voice conversation mode use your device's built-in speech-recognition service (typically provided by the device or OS vendor, such as Google on Android). Audio is processed by that service under its vendor's own privacy policy; the App receives only the resulting text, which it treats like any typed message. The App does not record, store, or transmit raw audio itself.
When a reply is read aloud, its text is passed to your device's text-to-speech engine. A speech-friendly rewrite of the message may be generated by the AI model on your configured server and cached on your device so replaying it is instant. Narration caches can be cleared in the App's settings.
All of this stays on your device. You can remove it by clearing caches in the App's settings or by uninstalling the App / clearing its storage.
The App connects to exactly one destination you choose: your server. The connection is encrypted with TLS only when you configure an https:// server address. Connections to http:// addresses are not encrypted; if you use the App across untrusted networks, put your server behind HTTPS or a VPN.
One exception exists: when exporting a message as PDF, the App may download fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com). This is a standard file download carrying no personal data beyond the network request itself, and the App falls back to built-in fonts when offline.
The App does not request or use device location.
The App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or payment services. The only external parties involved are:
The App is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal information, we hold none to delete; any data resides on your device and your own server.
We retain no data about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or erase. Everything the App touches lives on your device (deletable as described above) or on your own server (under your control). Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be called out in the App's release notes.
